Washington DC Update (May 31, 2020 | 8:49 CDT) - ND



Major crowd in front of the White House in Washington DC. Secret Service, Customs and Border Patrol, and National Guard have utilized what appears to be smoke grenades, as opposed to CS gas, in a failed attempt to force rioters to disperse. Reports indicate vandalism at the Capitol, World War Two Memorial, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and Vietnam War Memorial.

National Guard units across the United States have seen unprecedented activations. As of May 31, 2020, nearly 62,000 Guard Soldiers and Airmen were called up in 26 states and the District of Columbia in response to civil disturbances. These units will not only provide logistical support, but can serve as manpower to increase the size of municipal police departments.

St. John's Church, a historically important structure, has been set aflame by arsonists. Secret Service, Customs and Border Patrol, and National Guard utilizing tear gas and sheer force in an attempt to clear away for firefighters.

A curfew has officially gone into effect in the heart of the United States: Washington, DC.

The Massachusetts National Guard has arrived in Boston, with commanders vowing that the rioters and looters will be put down.

Chicago, IL Update (May 31, 2020 | 10:21 CDT) - ND


Peaceful protests underway in Chicago, with the most peaceful currently advancing on Division west bound from Ashland. Although this group may be aggravating drivers on the road, it has refrained from looting or vandalism thus far.



Boston, MA Update (May 31, 2020 | 10:40 CDT) - ND

Reports of a large explosion near the Carnegie Library and Apple store in Mount Vernon area of Washington DC.



Oakland, CA Update (May 31, 2020 | 10:49 CDT) - FC


A tiger has escaped the Oakland Zoo in California amidst ongoing riots and protests. Sheriff is asking citizens to call 911 if spotted.

Mass looting reported on I Street in Washington DC. A building is also reported to have been set on fire by arsonists.



Oakland, CA Update (May 31, 2020 | 11:06 CDT) - FC


All tigers have been accounted for at the Oakland Zoo. There is apparently not a tiger on the loose.

Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy has approved the activation of the entire Washington D.C National Guard, 1200 guardsmen in all.
