Summer Olympics Postponed

Situation:


On March 24, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe announced that the 2020 Summer Olympics would be postponed due to the COVID-19 health crisis.

What It Means:


The COVID-19​ outbreak is now in its fifth month, and is now present in 148 countries. The last time the Olympics were canceled or postponed was during the Second World War, reaffirming the gravity of the situation.
