Sentinel Project: Secretariat of the Communist Party of China

The Secretariat of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) carries out the routine operations of the Politburo Standing Committee (PSC) and Politburo. It further coordinates organizations, departments, and individuals to realize the tasks and objectives set forth by the PSC and Politburo. Under Chinese law, it is endowed with the authority to make decisions on day-to-day matters, but must consult and inform its clients on important, dangerous, or substantive issues. The current members of the Secretariat are Wang Huning, Ding Xuexiang, Yang Xiaodu, Chen Xi, Guo Shengkun, Huang Kunming, and You Quan.
